Diagnose Diseases http://www.cityhealthmonitor.info/diseasefinder.aspx

Users have the ability from this page to consult a list of possible diseases that an ill person may have contracted, based on certain parameters selected in the page, such as Primary System affected, Symptoms, at Risk Groups to which the person ill may belong, and the Geographical Location in which this person lives in or has travel to.

Please note that not all types of filters need to be selected, and more than one filter for the same type may be selected. Users are suggested to try different scenarios of filters in order to have a better chance of determining their, or their family member’s, condition. As an example, by selecting either the item “Women” or “Men” in the at Risk Group, the Site will return, after clicking the Display Diseases Button at the bottom, a list of diseases for which it was clearly identified that either Women or Men (based on the selection) had a higher probability of contracting a disease. Meanwhile, most diseases have an equal, or almost equal chance of being contracted by either a Women or a Men, and thus selecting this parameter will inadvertently filter out several diseases which shouldn’t have been excluded.

Users have the ability to select one or multiple Parameters/Filters within each of the Categories listed hereafter. As indicated above, users are not required to select a Filter for each Category/Type, and may select several Filters for one Category. It is up to the user to decide which combination of filters he wished to apply. Regardless of the categories of filters and the amount of filters a user wishes to apply, once having selected all the desired filters, the user must click on the “Display Diseases” Button at the bottom of the page in order to display the possible diseases in the “Possible Infectious Diseases based on Selected Parameters” Window. The “Apply Filter” Buttons found under each category is used to filter the entries displayed in the filter section below the previous one. As an example, let us suppose that a user selects a System in the “Select the Primary System(s) Affected by the Disease” Window, and then clicks on the “Apply Filter” Button, the Window found in the “Select all the Existing Symptoms as a Result of the Disease” Section will display only Symptoms which may be associated with the Systems selected in the previous Window. The other Filters work in a similar manner.

Filter Categories:
Select the Primary System(s) Affected by the Disease
Select all the Existing Symptoms as a Result of the Disease
Select any At Risk Group(s) to which the affected Person belongs or any Items to which he/she has been Exposed
Select any Region(s) to which the affected Person Lives in or has Travelled to Recently
